In 2009 our oldest daughter Jasmin went for a month to Kenya to volunteer in an orphanage and community project near Kisumi called Arise and Shine. The orphanage is set up by Nancy and Jonas Okoth. Nancy gave up her career with the prestigious Imperial Hotel in the centre of Kisumu City and with Jonas, they decided to devote their lives to caring for orphans; "street Children and widows whose lives are being devastated by the effects of HIV/AIDS".

Using the link that our daughter established we are doing 'our bit' in trying to make the world a smaller and better place: All proceeds from the sale of postcards and prints will go directly to 'Arise and Shine'.
